Interactive Feeders

Engaging in good feeding practises is probably the single most significant contribution you can make to enhancing the welfare of your pet. Dogs are natural scavengers, they love to seek out tasty things to eat, not all of which are desirable! Using food dispensing toys and feeders can help alleviate boredom, reduce inappropriate chewing and enhance meal times.  Dogs that gulp their food down cannot possibly savour the subtle features of flavour or texture that we would like to see enjoyed by our canine companions. Slowing down feeding also has health benefits; meals last longer, helping your dog feel fuller for longer and there is also reduced risk of gastric torsion or bloat.

Cats also benefit from interactive feeders, especially those that have limited access to the great outdoors! As natural hunters cats love to seek out and chase prey and are well known for playing with their victims! The use of interactive feeders helps stimulate the cat mentally, slow down his eating (great for overweight cats) and helps emulate their natural feeding style.
