The Company of Animals is celebrating award success after winning the ‘Pet Product of the Year’ for dogs for its innovative GREEN Slow Feeder at The Pet Industry Awards 2013.
The award was presented to The Company of Animals by TV ‘Dragon’ Deborah Meaden at the Chesford Grange Hotel in Kenilworth, Warwickshire. The prestigious awards, now in their fifth year, aims to recognise and celebrate the success and entrepreneurial achievement of UK pet businesses.
The ingenious GREEN Slow Feeder (RRP £25) is designed specifically to slow down a dog’s eating time and make him work harder for his food, which can in turn reduce the risk of bloat. It also provides mental stimulation for the dog by turning his meal times into a challenging game. The stylish feeder is designed to look like a tuft of grass and is easy to use; simply scatter the desired amount of food across the GREEN and the dog will then enjoy the challenge of pushing it out between the ‘blades of grass’.
Steve Driver, Managing Director of The Company of Animals, said: “We are delighted to win this highly respected accolade at The Pet Industry Awards for our amazing GREEN Slow Feeder. At the heart of everything we do is the desire to create and distribute pioneering products and services that strengthen the bond between pets and their owners. The GREEN Slow Feeder is a really remarkable product that challenges and stimulates dogs and we are extremely proud that this has been recognised.”
